Avon Tyrrell - September 2025

On September 10th, our Year 5 cohort headed out on the first trip of the school year - a 2-night stay at Avon Tyrrell in the New Forest!

It was a little nerve-wracking for some children to stay away from home, but everyone faced their fears with determination and bravery to make some fantastic memories.

The weather was mostly kind (although we did have to shelter from the odd rain shower) and we managed to enjoy the great outdoors taking part in so many activities: kayaking on the lake (which ended up as a water dip for some); making and launching giant catapults; using knots to make and float a raft - with some very soggy end results and cycling through the beautiful woodland.

We were very well-fed with some delicious hot meals three times a day and after packed days of activities, we all slept well in our dormitories.
